Tama (たま), also known by her real name Tama Inubozaki (犬吠埼珠), is one of the protagonists of Magical Girl Raising Project.
She is the weakest member of Team Ruler. She tries her best to follow Ruler's orders.
Appearance[]
Human[]
As a human, Tama has short black hair with a part of it tied in a little ponytail in the back. She has wispy bangs and her eyes are a very dark brown. She wears a school uniform. She is shorter than her Magical Girl counterpart, Tama.
Magical Girl[]
As a Magical Girl, Tama has short, brown-reddish hair and yellow eyes. A strand of her hair sticks up like a cowlick. She wears a light brown hood with brown dog ears tipped with white and two white puffs on either side of her head, speckled with black.
She wears a dog costume, complete with large paw gloves and a tail. The tip of her tail is tipped with white. The underside and tips of her paw gloves are also tipped with white and have white puffs with black spots or dalmatian spots as cuffs. The costume has a light-brown cape, a white top, and shorts. Her shirt reaches above her belly and has two black bows on the front. Her shorts are light brown with a Black belt and silver buckle. She wears a fastened cape with a bone-shaped charm and black ribbon. The ends of the mantle are connected to her paw gloves. She also wears a spiky black collar made for her by Ruler. She wears white stockings that are dotted with black spots or dalmatian spots. She has brown leg warmers that are tipped with white. She also wears black boots.
Connected to her collar is a black leash.
Personality[]
She's a rather shy girl, and a little bit more cowardly than the others. However, she relies on trusting her friends and her leader on good faith. She believes that she is worthless, and all the good she can do is to be a slave to people. Tama is very insecure and has very low self-esteem because of people comparing her to her more successful sibling, and people often losing patience and giving up on her.
Magic[]
Can quickly open holes in anything.
Tama's magic allows her to create a hole as wide as 1 meter in diameter and 5 meters deep.
Any damage done by Tama is considered a hole, even small scratches. If there is no physical damage done by Tama, however, then a hole will not be created.
The hole does not have to appear immediately. Tama is able to scratch something and make the hole appear later, so long as it's within her line of sight.[1]
Special Item(s)[]
- Spiked Collar: A gift given to her by Ruler.
- Invisibility Cloak (Former): A magical cloak that can conceal appearance. However, sound and heart movement are ineffaceable.
- Ruler (Former): A magical item. Similar to a halberd, it's a weapon with a blade length of 30 centimeters and a handle the length of 1 meter. It is completely unbreakable and indestructible. Formerly owned by Swim Swim, who named it Ruler.
Relationships[]
Ruler[]
Tama is a member of Ruler's team. Tama likes Ruler because Ruler didn't give up on her and helped her to learn things at her own pace. Ruler also made a collar for Tama - a collar Tama appreciates a lot.
Tama shows regret in partaking in the plan to take down Ruler, crying once Ruler had finally died.
Swim Swim[]
Swim Swim and Tama are both a part of Ruler's team. Tama admires Swim Swim and is shocked to find out that Swim Swim is just a child, considering how intelligent she is.
Upon saving Swim Swim from Cranberry, she betrays and murders Tama after the latter accidentally discovers her human identity.
Yunael[]
Yunael and Tama are both a part of Ruler's team. In Producing The Angels, Yunael and her sister ask Tama for advice to increase their popularity and she suggests filming a commercial and post it on the internet, the Peaky Angels succeeded and invited Tama to their hideout as thanks, Yunael hold Tama from her right shoulder and flew with her along with Minael, the Peaky Angels enjoyed it while Tama was crying for her life, despite that, Tama really enjoyed helping her friends.
Minael[]
Minael and Tama are both a part of Ruler's team. In Producing The Angels, Minael and her sister ask Tama for advice to increase their popularity, and she suggests filming a commercial and posting it on the internet. The Peaky Angels succeeded and invited Tama to their hideout as thanks. Minael held Tama from her left shoulder and flew with her along with Yunael. The Peaky Angels enjoyed it while Tama was crying for her life. Despite that, Tama really enjoyed helping her friends.
Musician Of The Forest, Cranberry[]
Along with the remaining members of Team Ruler, Tama attacks Cranberry towards the end of Unmarked (Arc 1). Tama is easily frightened by Cranberry. During the fight, Cranberry manages to hurt Tama by throwing a rock at her arm.
During the moment that Cranberry aims to kill Swim Swim, Tama steps in and scratches Cranberry while applying her magic. Cranberry is perforated due to Tama's ability and dies.
Tama's Grandmother[]
Tama and her grandmother had a very good relationship, as her grandmother was the only person who would judge her not for her intelligence and athletic skill, but for who she really was. After her grandmother's death, Tama felt like she had lost everything.
Tama's Mother[]
Tama has a difficult relationship with her mother, who is very judgemental towards Tama regarding her school grades. Her mother often compares Tama to her siblings.

Although Tama and Melville have never interacted, Melville dislikes Tama due to her weak nature. Melville was unhappy to learn that Tama was the one who killed Cranberry.

Etymology[]
Real Name[]
- The name Tama means "bead, pearl, gem, jewel" (珠).
- The name "Tama" is usually a name given to cats in Japan. This is referrenced in Tama's fake promotional anime introduction as written by Asari Endō, in which Tama introduces herself with a "meow-meow-meow!", only to lament that she's actually a dog, not a cat.
- Tama's surname Inubozaki means "dog barking" (犬吠) (inubo) and "cape, spit, promontory" (埼) (saki/zaki).
- The kanjis in her surname are references to dogs and their actions (dog, bark, and spit) and "cloak" might reference her invisibility cloak.
