Synopsis[edit | edit source]

“Collect Magical Candies!”

The Magical Girls are shocked to learn, from Fab’s sudden announcement, that, each week, a Magical Girl is chosen to drop out when she doesn’t collect enough Magical Candies. Hosonami Hanano, also known as Ripple, is desperate to find ways to serve people along with her companion, Top Speed. Nemurin, who can only accomplish anything in her dreams, meanwhile, worked at a more leisurely pace. And the first dropout was announced.[1]

Summary[edit | edit source]

Claiming that there is not enough mana within the city to support sixteen Magical Girls, Fav announces that whoever earns the fewest Magical Candies from performing good deeds each week will lose their ability to transform. Reluctantly accepting these new rules, Magical Girls Ripple and Top Speed recall their encounter with the dangerous outlaw Calamity Mary. Meanwhile, as Koyuki continues her duties with La Pucelle, she speaks online with Nemurin, a Magical Girl who can enter dreams. When the first results are announced, Nemurin ends up with the lowest score and is eliminated from the running, deciding to use her remaining time to visit one more dream. However, after her time runs out, Nemurin's true identity, Nemu Sanjou is found dead by her mother.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The entire dream sequence of the boy that Nemurin saved is a reference to the Ultraman series.
    • The monster that was shown terrorizing the city is a nod to the popular Kaiju, Godzilla.
    • Nemurin surfacing towards the camera

Additionally, when Nemurin came to the boy's dream, she raised her right fist forward and surfaced with a pose similarly to Ultraman.
      • To add to that, her face and pose went nearer towards the camera which is also similar to Ultramen when they surface after transformation.
    • Her "Nemurin Beam" could also be a reference to the Ultra Beam that all Ultramen possessed.
